Our History.

> Dan Cox Company, Inc. (1973 - 1989)
Dan Cox Company was founded by Dan & Debbie Cox in December 1973, when they purchased the test equipment and parts business from McGatlin Instrument Company. The Company was established as an industrial instrument service business with Dan & Debbie partnering with Dan’s dad, Bill Cox. Dan ran service calls and did the repairs, Debbie handled day to day operations and Bill served as a business advisor with the responsibility to set up the accounting system and do the tax reports.
For 15 years, Dan & Debbie would expand to service most brands and types of industrial instrumentation, including combustion equipment and heat process control. In these years, Dan Cox Company would develop a close relationship with Eclipse Combustion, eventually becoming a manufacturers’ representative of Eclipse-Dungs Controls in 1983.
> Eclipse Thermal Center-Dallas (1989 - 2001)
In November of 1989, Dan & Debbie sold the assets of the Company and became a regional sales office for Eclipse Combustion and Eclipse-Dungs Controls. The newly-named Eclipse Thermal Systems-Dallas served Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana.
During these years, Dan Cox & team solidified their position as a regional expert in industrial combustion.
In 1996 Eclipse made the decision to close the Thermal Center, and restructure as a regional sales office. This would set the stage for the next season of growth for Dan Cox & Associates.
> Dan Cox & Associates, Inc. (2001 to present)
In 2001, Dan Cox, Debbie Cox and Don Swindell (who had joined the Company in 1990), once again became independent representatives, and Dan Cox & Associates was “re”-founded on April 1, 2001.
Not long after, Dan Cox & Associates became an Industrial Combustion Product Integrator (ICPI) for Siemens Combustion Controls Group, now SCC, Inc., and in 2003, Dan Cox & Associates acquired ADI Instruments, a manufacturer’s representative for Pyromation, Inc. and distributor for Danaher/Partlow/West controls.
Today, we continue to advise and supply our customers needs in process heating and combustion, safety and control. Our experienced team works every day to ensure our customers have access to quality products and support whatever the application or process.
